World Humanitarian Day (WHD) serves as an essential platform to advocate for the protection and support of vulnerable communities affected by conflict and disasters, while also honoring the selfless dedication of humanitarian workers. Through impactful activities, the commemoration continues to raise awareness and inspire collective action toward building a more resilient and compassionate world. The first WHD commemoration in Tanzania was held in Dar es Salaam in 2023 at Karimjee Hall, attended by more than 300 people, with the Guest of Honour being the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Honourable Albert Chalamila.
